Hi Svetlana,
I’d like to share your optimism. But I can’t. This article was written by Sveta long before well known events on Maidan last winter, which made me believe that Ukrainian people had finally won a chance of fundamental changes in the society and government systems. I was really hoping that in a few years we would come back and visit our friends and relatives in new Ukraine, wealthy and prosperous. Well, you know the current situation. And it’s not getting any better.

Nevertheless, the hope is still there, somewhere in deep subconscious.

First of all I want to write some protecion words for my country,but indeed you are right(. Even so a lot of kindhearted people live there.Unfortunatly they are minority.Hope,realy hope in near feature we will become more inteligent,but it’s too difficult while generation of USSR is still here.

Thanks for ideas for future articles! We’ll definitely come up with something covering our impressions about our first months here.

To be eligible for Australian citizenship you should live in Australia during 4 years since the date of arrival on permanent residence visa. During this period you may travel overseas, but not more than 12 months in total.

Oh, thanks. It would be very nice from your side, if you post collections of materials.
By the way, how much time should pass, until you’ll receive the citizenship, 5 years I guess?
As for material, I read those articles with my pleasure. 😉 What are your plans for future articles?
As for me, topics about “first months in new country” probably be nice to read. The things interesting for me is:
— about difference in mentality, what was surprised you?
— did you had some difficulties with understanding local people?
— how to get your first job in another country if you haven’t a contract with an employer, during your migration to another country.
— how to obtain a job for your couple, if you have a contract (or it’s straight depends on country and there are nothing similar in generals?)
— and so on….
Oh, there are so much thing that I’d like to know about early time in new country…

P.S. Should I resend “greatings” for HeeP from you both?
